Yao out, Lakers hot and LeBron to the Nets?
So I have been gone for a few days and all hell has broken loose. Lets start off with Yao Ming, WTF? Houston was on a bit of roll there and yet one more time something happens. Yao is out for the rest of the year with that foot injury and TMac?… Everyone is saying its time for TMac to step up… But just like Kobe, TMac cant do it on his own. Sorry Houston but your season is gone.
Speaking of Kobe and the Lakers last night became there tenth straight win. Kobe was no good on his own after a forced Shaq trade. No matter how many points he scored he couldnt make the Lakers a title contender on his own. Pau Gasol enters into the picture and its game on…. Kobe, Pau and the rest of the Lakers are as hot as can be at the moment.
Rumors:
So lets cover a couple of rumors out there. The first is of LeBron James being tempted to join the New Jersey Nets by partial owner Jay-Z. Everyone knows Jay-Z is well respected in the music and basketball business and definatley has LeBrons attention. After Jason Kidd finally vacated this may be what the Nets intended all along. LeBron James and Vince Carter on the same team though would be pretty tough to manage.
The other is veteran Sam Cassell joining Boston. Some reports are indicating this is as good as a done deal as soon as he can clear waivers. Sam Cassell would probably get the verterans minimum of $1.2 million for joining the team. With Cassell in the picture you got an already dangerous team in Boston getting just that much more closer to championship.
