Houston Rockets win streak 22 beating Lakers
It took two full days to recover from the Houston Rockets win over the Los Angeles Lakers. So here are my thoughts on this record making win.
First let’s get the obvious out of the way. The luck that this Houston Rockets team has had is unbelievable and of course why would the lucky streak end right against the Lakers the former number one team in the Western Conference. Just days before the Rockets where to play the Lakers Pau Gasol goes down with an ankle sprain minutes into the first quarter of an insignificant game! Seriously talk about some timing. The Lakers lose a dominant force in the center and 20 plus point with 10 rebounds per game right before facing the Houston Rockets. THAT IS LUCK!
Secondly TMAC was an embarrassment to watch. He shot so badly he went for 4 of 16 shooting and could have cost the team the streak if it were not for Rafer Alston who hit eight three pointers! Rafer scored a total of 31 his all time best when he only averages 16 points a game. If Rafer Alston didn’t get hot you would have seen the Houston Rockets go down for sure.
Anyway Houston faces the Boston Celtics who are fresh off a come back win against the San Antonio Spurs who by the way are seriously sucking right now. Boston came back from 22 point deficit to beat the Spurs. Wait is that a sign? Boston comes back from 22 and faces the Houston Rockets who have won 22? Rockets are going down!
