Western Conference Sleeper: Denver Nuggets
Who is the team that is going to shock you in the Western Conference finals? The Denver Nuggets! Lead by Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony the Denver Nuggets have beat some of the best teams out there. Let’s take a look at the last month or so:
January 3 – Beat San Antonio Spurs 80 – 77
Feburary 10 – Beat Cleveland Cavs 113 – 83
Feburary 19 – Beat Boston Celtics 124 – 118
March 5 – Beat Phoenix Suns 126 – 113
March 7 – Beat San Antonio Spurs 109 – 96
First of all you got a healthy Carmelo Anthony who is averaging 25 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assist per game. You add to that Allen Iverson who is averaging 26 point, 3 rebounds and 7 assist per game. With help of a healthy and hungry supporting cast I think you will see Iverson’s influence finally push through in the years Denver Nuggets. Like Alan Iverson the Nuggets are showing no fear and playing great basketball.
But you say they are 2 ½ games behind the Golden State Warriors for the eighth and final spot in the Western Conference playoff spot. I’m going out on a limb here and saying not only will they make it but will shake up and upset at least on major team in the Western Conference bracket.
