Western Conference Sleeper: Denver Nuggets Part 3
With only half a game back from the eighth spot in the Western Conference Playoff bracket the Denver Nuggets are playing lights out basketball. Both Alan Iverson and Carmelo Anthony are scoring in the 20+ range and have you seen the final scores lately? Denver is putting up some serious numbers at the end of the night.
Nobody could have foreseen Dirk Nowitzki or Pau Gasol getting injured. But the ripple effect of those two injuries has now gone out and come back full force as you can see some of the leading teams just two weeks ago start tumbling down in the bracket. The Houston Rockets are now down to third and the Dallas Mavericks have fallen to the seventh spot! Golden State is still hanging on to that eighth spot but not by much and if either Golden State or Dallas Mavericks continue loosing the Denver Nuggets will find themselves in the playoffs just before the regular season ends.
Golden State should fumble there way out of the playoffs but may be saved by a Dallas Mavericks unexpected exit. Either way the Denver Nuggets will be in the playoffs and as stated before the Denver Nuggets will upset a first round team.
