Andrew Bynum committed a lazy dirty foul that sent Gerald Wallace to the hospital with a collapsed lung. As you read the rest of this keep in mind that Gerald Wallace beat Kobe Bryant and was driving towards the basket. Pau Gasol had the presence of mind to stay away but not Bynum. Andrew Bynum didn’t make a play for the ball at all and rather drove his elbow into the chest of Gerald Wallace breaking his ribs causing a collapsed lung.

What if this where Kobe Bryant on the floor? You would be asking for Bynum’s head on a pole! Gerald Wallace is a great player and a huge contributer to the Bobcats, and now what? Wallace is out because Bynum was a lazy and dirty player.

What is up with all the over hyping of weak players?!?!?! Greg Oden is heading back to the injured list for a foot sprain? WTF? TAPE IT UP AND SUCK IT UP! You mean to tell me all the fans who waited in anticipation for Greg Oden to finally get off the injured list and paid good money, packed the stadium and supported Greg when hurt end up getting a big FU all because Greg cant play with a little pain? If Greg Oden goes back on injured list ticket holders deserve refunds, period.

What a joke! What ever happened to the players that took hits and gave hits? Looks like Andy Bynum has got a buddy who can join him on the weak ass over hyped centers who cant play a full game without crying about getting hurt list. Its unbelievable how weak the new players out of college are after so much over hype from agents who just want to cash in.

You want a recent great center lets look at SHAQ! Even though now he is on his way out and everyone is railing on him, when Shaq came into the league he broke backboards and made an impact on the NBA! All this crap talk about late blossoming, molding and “in a few years” should not be taking place in the NBA. If you cant play at the NBA level you dont deserve millions, the spotlight and most importantly to wear a jersey.

Greg Oden’s debut is an epic failure. Greg Oden got so much hype but yet the truth always seems to find a way to show itself.

It took a picture taken of the Spaniard team holding fingers on their eyes to slant them in poor taste to wake me from my summer slumber and write this post. Pau Gasol has got some serious explaining to do when the Olympics are over and he is done hanging out with his buddies from the old country. It seems that the entire country of Spain found it not only acceptable but in good taste to pull off the slanted eye advertisement. It got by everyone and every checkpoint that could have prevented this socially incorrect advertisement from making it to print at a time that they are competing in the Olympics with the Olympics held in China.

Let’s move on to why I have decided to chime in on the subject as there has already been tons written about this. Yes I am going to go where it’s a bit uncomfortable so if you don’t like to read about racism and political incorrectness I suggest you stop reading now and go away. Don’t go away mad, just go away for now.

Jason Kidd spoke out today saying that it would be an unfair double standard if Pau Gasol and Jose Calderon both of whom play in the NBA walked away with no fines or suspensions. Kidd has a great point as he goes on to explain how if either Kobe Bryant or LeBron James where to pull a similar stunt not only would there be suspension but also multi-million dollar contracts pulled and possibly riots in the streets. Pau and Jose said they felt uncomfortable posing for the picture and showed a serious lapse in judgment by proceeding to pose for the picture. Both Pau and Jose need to remember that by playing in the NBA THEY ARE expected to be the best in the world and behave in accordance. Pau Gasol and or Jose Calderon could have easily walked away from the entire situation saying something like “I play in NBA and you don’t. This is unacceptable! I’m out!”

Lets put this in perspective so that if any of the ballers from Spain are reading this they understand why this whole picture thing is just not going to go away. Imagine for arguments sake that the entire Olympics where held in Africa. Lets imagine the USA team getting together for a Sports Illustrated cover in which somehow for some reason they found it funny to have all the white players holding whips and all the black players bent over picking cotton. So how obviously wrong that would be? Do you not agree that not only would players be fined and suspended but it would be pretty obvious that the publication and the country as whole would be looked down upon by the rest of the world? It would be such an obvious unprovoked attack on the African culture and its history that anybody with two brain cells could figure out that ITS WRONG AND SHOULD NOT BE DONE! Lets just further push the envelope by having the entire country sink with the ship and continue to say “What’s the big deal? We didn’t mean it that way!”. There is no way America could falter this way and allowing NBA players to be sheltered under Spain for this fallout would be a huge mistake.

Stern already feeling the pressures of NBA players leaving to Europe for big million dollar contracts of which he is to blame in his efforts to globalize the NBA is now going to be watched carefully for his actions towards the players involved. Potentially Stern could just condemn the entire event and leave it at that, but that would lead to the impression that NBA players who play over seas can have free reign to leverage there superstar status that they owe to the NBA to do as they please. Stern could also come down heavily handing out suspensions and fines not only to the players but to the teams they represent for allowing this to happen and not having the appropriate handlers to prevent such a poor representation of the NBA. Personally I vote for the latter and hope that Pau Gasol gets a clear message branded in his mind that will prevent him from wondering next time if posing for such pictures is a smart idea after all. Hey Pau! If your basketball buddies from Spain jump off a cliff are you going to jump off also?

Lastly and most importantly a word to the Chinese people who were for no reason mocked in a time that should be their nations most celebrated moment. The Chinese culture historically has been wronged here in America like many other cultures. The Chinese Americans, Chinese immigrants and the entire Asian-American population make an immeasurable and undeniable contribution to the American economy and melting pot culture. Needless to say the picture in question is completely wrong make no mistake about that. A clear and unmistakable message should be sent that lets David Stern and the NBA know that they need to hold themselves, the franchises and the players who represent the franchises responsible in a time that they are trying to prove the NBA is mature enough to go global.

In a time that David Stern should be promoting a Global NBA in one of the worlds oldest and most respected athletic competitions Stern find himself once again in the center of controversy. What will David Stern do now? Its not just America anymore, the World is watching and the dream of a Global NBA is on the line.

Amazing call Doc Rivers! Having Ray Allen play straight up on Kobe Bryant has got to go down as one of the worst coaching decisions ever in an NBA finals game. No offense to Ray Allen as he is a solid defender and even though I rip Kobe Bryant frequently on this site there is no way in hell that you play straight up defense on Kobe Bryant when the clock is ticking down in a finals game! Kobe Bryant will score on you if not over you.

Before the timeout I was almost pleasantly surprised at how Doc Rivers was coaching the Boston Celtics to take the lead by using double teams on Kobe Bryant. Forcing Kobe Bryant to give up the ball in the final minutes was working despite a few three pointers Boston was closing the gap. So what the hell happened Doc after the timeout? Why the hell would you decide to start playing Kobe Bryant straight up? WHY?!?!? Unbelievable!

Not fouling in the final seconds was another colossal failure on Doc Rivers part. Why the hell was he not jumping up and down yelling at someone to foul! Doc Rivers let at least the last minute run off without so much as a double team or an intentional foul. You know what that is called Doc? FAILURE!

And another guy who needs to get the hell out of the game is Eddie House! This trigger happy bench warmer flung up anything and everything as if he would never get another chance off the bench!

You can’t say much about Odem or Pierce as fouls are fouls and once you start racking them up early your game is toast. But no excuses for Gasol and Garnett who just didn’show up to play and put out an embarrassing game.

This was a game Boston should have one and was capable of winning. Doc Rivers has no excuse for not making the calls a coach should be making in close game with a chance to win in the finals with the clock ticking away the final seconds.

Boston lost because you failed as a coach Doc Rivers period.

Have I been enjoying the Boston Celtics / Los Angeles Lakers series? YES! This post goes specifically to all you Kobe Bryant lovers out there! Where is your MVP now? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

In previous posts I predicted on this blog how Kobe Bryant once he was given an undeserved MVP award would stop acting like a “team player” and “team leader” returning to his old ball hog “all about Kobe” ways.

Thanks to the pity party the voting sports writers gave Kobe Bryant, Bryant has now secured what he most wanted and didn’t have. Having no more need to put on a charade about “im a team leader” Bryant will become completely focused on winning another ring at all costs. Note not because Bryant wants to win it for the Lakers but because it would be a story book ending for Kobe Bryant. Here is where the breakdown will happen and the old Kobe will re-emerge. Kobe may have been a huge factor for getting them this far, but thanks to a now over inflated head Kobe’s inability to maintain the bad “im un-selfish” acting bit will eventually cost the Lakers the series.

REMEMBER: This is a Kobe Bryant who tanked a playoff series and blamed his teammates for the loss.

Nothing has changed about Bryant and now having accomplished what he truly worked hard for all year his MVP award you can expect the old Kobe to come back. The sports writers really are to blame for the Lakers not winning the ring this year. If they had not voted for Kobe Bryant, Bryant would have been more determined to win it. Again not for his team, the organization, the fans or anyone else but only to prove the writers wrong.

Kobe Bryant has been completely USELESS against Boston. Expect the Lakers to lose tonight to a great Boston Team who actually plays a great balance of defense and offense instead of hoping for a USELESS MVP in Kobe Bryant to attempt to take over a game and win.

Kobe SUCKS! Will Boston sweep?
